Pan African Scope

CEPREC is a truly Pan-African initiative. We work across six countries — Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Namibia — to develop clean energy and circular economy solutions that are locally grounded and continentally connected.

By aligning research and innovation with national priorities and regional opportunities, we aim to accelerate Africa’s transition to inclusive, sustainable energy systems.

Interdisciplinary by design

Complex challenges need joined-up thinking. CEPREC brings together engineers, economists, social scientists, environmental experts, and policy researchers to co-create integrated solutions.

Our work spans everything from power electronics and energy modelling to behavioural science and business model innovation — ensuring that our research is technically sound, socially relevant, and environmentally sustainable.

Triple-Helix collaboration

We operate through a Triple-Helix model — bringing together academia, industry, and government to turn knowledge into real-world impact.

This approach ensures that our research responds to policy needs, strengthens industrial innovation, and delivers social value. We work closely with government ministries, startups, utilities, development agencies, and community actors across Africa and the UK.
